I Need A Raise

I am so close to getting my new oven I can taste it, or at least taste what I can bake in it. Ever gone without being able to bake anything for three months? Meatloaf, roast chicken, muffins, and quiche start sounding really good. Anyways, we sold our way to big for our room, bedroom furniture and I get to order the oven this week.

I've also been in the process of searching for an Aussie puppy since we lost our dear Truk. I'm not in a huge hurry to replace him, I really want to find the right dog, but so far, no leads, and all the ones I have found are way too expensive. Who ever heard of $1000 for an Australian Shepherd, I don't want to show the dang thing, just use it as my personal alarm system.

Cash's birthday dinner went well. We had two kinds of lasagna, french bread, and Caesar salad. He looooooves his Jeep. I'm so glad he's growing up, now if only he could make me coffee in the morning. I guess that's a bit much, we'll start with making his own cereal. On a side note, he now brings me the box of Bisquick and the bottle of syrup requesting pancakes. Now Mom!

My mother made the comment the other day that since I've decided to make motherhood my career I might as well excel at it and climb the corporate, excuse me, family ladder. I'm thinking that getting up every morning at 6:30 so I can make breakfast for the entire family is a pretty good rung. The Monster doesn't want to eat by himself in the school cafeteria in the mornings so I relented and feed him before driving him to school. I'm not a morning person, but I kind of felt bad for him. I'd be scared to go in there by myself too. Kindergarten is a jungle man!

Also I spent the better part of the day, making and pureeing baby food for Sugarbaby. I hope she appreciates the money I saved by doing this. Wait, that would be the Hubby. Hopefully she'll just think it tastes good.

I guess I better get to that third sink full of dishes that is staring me down from across the kitchen. That old career is a calling.
