Foto Friday: What's With the Nose?

Apparently I'm not to worry about the fact that her nose looks huge. According to the tech, 90% of parents say that after their 3-D ultrasound, but there hasn't been a rash of big nosed babies born so they think its something to do with the shadows. Who knew we even had sunlight in the womb to create shadows? I kid. So meet Sugarbaby (obvioulsly that's not her real name), we'll get to take some real pics of her in, what was it again, 13 days? I can't wait.

Foto Friday: A Return to PS2

I'm back. Curse all you want but I just remembered Foto Friday. Once again, on a Saturday. Forgive the crazy foggy prego brain. I know I posted this pic before but I got back in the groove with my PS and decided to mess with it, and I threw in a couple of adorable ones of the chiln's too.

Foto Friday: Anticipation

Well crap. I forgot. So we'll have a Foto Friday on an early Saturday morning and ya'll will just have to forgive my forgetfulness. I've got prego brain and all.

So this week my theme is anticipation. Summer is coming! You saw from last Foto Friday post we had a late snow storm but this week it has been nearly 80 degrees on a few days. A sure sign that a true Arkansas summer is on its way.

I took this picture last summer. The waters at this hole are icy cold all year round, hence Cashman's reluctance to go all the way in. He did have a blast throwing rocks though. I just lounged nearby enjoying one of my last cigs. It wouldn't be long before I was knocked up (again!) and couldn't enjoy that little bit of sin. I promise as all you readers as my witnesses that I will NOT start smoking again after this baby is born. I am so over it now, that I don't see it being a problem. I'll just have to find something equally interesting to do while I partake in all those ice cold beers that I will finally be able to drink once the warm weather gets here. This baby and summer can't come soon enough!

Foto Friday: Snow...duh!

I hate to give out my exact locale but I feel it is pertinent to this Foto Friday post. We live in Arkansas. It is March. These are both facts. It's also a fact that we have at least 6 inches of snow on the ground. Arkansas. March. Snow. These are not words that belong together but yet together they are. Here's your proof.
The Hubby and the Cashman.

Me (8 months preggie) and the Monster

Foto Friday: Nostalgia

There are times when I start to really miss my kiddos as babies. Just sometimes though, not all the time or I would be one of those crazy mothers who just keeps having babies every time the youngest one hits their first birthday. For example the Duggars. Click on that link if you dare. But back to my subject, the Monster is fast approaching his 5th birthday and Kindergarten. It seems that he is growing up way too quickly. Then there are the times when it can't come fast enough. On this Foto Friday I decided to get all nostalgic and show ya'll how adorable my Monster was as a baby and how funny he is as a 4 year old.

This is the Monster on his first birthday. Ignore my cleavage please, as if that was possible. Focus on the sweet innocence that is red curls, blue eyes, and birthday cake. This was right before he rubbed it in his eyes, commenced with the screaming and I had to nearly drown him in the park water fountain. All the while receiving disapproving looks from The Saint. Just one more reason I'm glad she is my EX-MIL.

And here he is on his fourth birthday. Notice the sweet tats and guns. Yeah I let my 4 year old hang out at tattoo parlors and lift weights in his spare time. The mischievousness of the Monster is glaringly obvious in this shot. Just be glad I didn't add audio or you would be in utter confusion within seconds of the non-stop stream of words that pours out of his mouth...constantly. Kind of like his mother I suppose.

Soon enough he'll be in high school. The tats will be permanent. He'll have a hussy of a girlfriend hanging around my house at all hours. The pipes on his "big black truck" (his request since he could talk) will awaken me to the fact that he missed curfew once again. What will I do? Scream? Cuss? Ground his misbehaving ass? Yeah, probably all of that and some. But every now and then, I'll pull out old photos like these and wonder where my baby went. That's one of the curses of being a mother. You can try all you want to keep them close, but they are destined to pull away. Then just when you get your life back and start getting that middle of the day booty with the hubby, extra money for vacays, a new car that they haven't wrecked, here they come knocking on your door.

"Mom, I'm broke can I stay here a while?"

Awwww, hell no! (oops wrong sentiment)

"Of course darling, stay as long as you want."

How could you react any other way? You just got your baby back.
