First Get Out Of Jail Free Card

Today my middle child shoplifted. To be fair, he is only five and wanted to get me a pretty present from the boutique we were in.  I learned of the thievery upon arriving home and immediately called the store to explain and apologize and promise to return said bling tomorrow.

They were understanding and thankful for my call. Which is all well and good considering I shop there a lot.

The child in question cried big fat alligator tears when I explained that such behavior is a crime and dude....you can like...go to jail.

Glad we got that first out of the way.

  2. Still remember my first shop lifting lesson. My mother made me stay after school with the teacher until I said I was sorry. It was tough. I was an older criminal though. Like 8.

  3. I haven't been through this one yet but given my kids love of Fun Dip and my unwillingness to buy it - I'm guessing that is just around the corner.
