If you've been a reader of this blog for any time you've noticed a bit of a makeover.
First and foremost I removed my BlogHer ads. Don't get me wrong. I think BlogHer is an amazing community that offers many opportunities for bloggers, new or established, no matter what your blog topic. But I personally felt that having those ads on my page and adhering to the contract as to what I could and couldn't do on my blog was giving me hives.
Next, I redid my header. I had a fancy schmancy blog header before that I actually paid to have designed but I did this one myself and I like it. So there.
Then, I streamlined. Gone are most of the buttons and widgets adorning my sidebar. Anything you see over there now is either really important to me or really important to someone who is important to me. Still with me here?
Also.....I quit Twitter. It was eating my brain and while I might be able to tickle a funny bone here and there I can not be consistently witty in 140 characters and how in the hell do these people find the time to tweet 100 times a day? It was causing me to neglect the more important things in my life. Like coffee. My coffee was getting cold and feeling neglected as I tried in vain to keep up with the Twitter stream. I dumped Twitter and I don't miss it at all.
Lastly, and this one makes me kind of sad, I disbanded my shopping blog Swoon. I really enjoyed it, I loved finding cool projects and ideas to post on there, but once again I just don't have the time. So now whenever I find something that I absolutely have to share with you I will put it on here. Speaking of cool things, I'll be hosting a really stylish giveaway in a week or two, so keep an eye on your feed reader. And heads up, I might still do a review or two so if you don't like reading reviews please forgive me.
I think that about sums it up. Hopefully all these changes will keep the blog block at bay and find me posting much more often. And thank you! Thank you to all my fabulous readers and you're lovely comments. They mean a lot to this girl behind the screen.
Ya'll have a great weekend!
