She's Almost Ready for Steak

This morning began with a bang around 1am. The Monster complaining of a sore throat, stumbled in our room. The hubby went to put him back in bed and discovered he had a fever. Tylenol was administered, water drank, sleepy music started over. Fast forward to 7am, still feverish, no school. Shoot me now. I really don't like having them all home, all day. Call me selfish, but I need time to read blogs do my chores.

The Monster spent the majority of the morning prone on the couch, accompanied by Cashman and massive amounts of The Clone Wars and Wall-E with a sprinkling of Kung Fu Panda. He is still there, trying to rest, slurping yogurt and water. He declared this morning that it was a no sugar day and he was only eating healthy foods and drinking water. What a martyr. He even turned down ice cream.

Around lunchtime I was dealing with a tantruming Sugarbaby, which is nothing new, but mid-scream while her mouth was wide open, I noticed something. A tooth! Oh my gah! She is finally cutting a tooth! Baby Orajel and a cold teether to the rescue. Happy baby finally went down for a nap and mommy spent the last half hour reading my new magazines and folding laundry. In a completely quiet house. Wonders never cease.

Sugarbaby cutting her first tooth. This was after the orajel.

In other news, my good friend finally started a blog. You should totally go visit her. She's witty and intelligent and only a little bit white trash, but I'll let her explain all of that. So go give a newbie blogger some love at Short Trip to the Crazy Hospital. Gah, I just love the name of it. Why didn't I think of that. I guess I could have named mine, Not Enough Pills In the World. Or something like that.
