24 Hours To Do With What You Want

It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth, and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up, that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.  -- Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

So what will you do today?

Hug your children tighter. Play with them even though you don't feel like it. Kiss your husband and smile even though he left his socks on the floor. Throw on your favorite jeans and shake your booty in the mirror cause you can. Step outside and marvel at the absolute natural beauty of the earth. Drink a full fat latte' without guilt.  Bake something and let your kids help, and I mean really help, then smile while you clean up the inevitable mess. Just this once do today what you say you will do tomorrow.

Because life is just one big old beautiful mess and we can spend our whole of it cleaning and scrubbing out the problems but that is just exhausting. Let's enjoy it instead.

Seriously. Stick a crown on your dog's head and take a picture. Why not?

  1. Amen. And you do NOT know how much I needed to hear this today.

  2. Wow. *grin* Maybe we do share a gene or two. ;)

Love the Pic, though she looks frightened. Maybe she doesn't want to be in charge of a kingdom?

  3. Life is messy, and so is my house. But soon the kids will be grown, the toys will be put away, and the house will be clean. But who wants a clean house? Where's the fun is that?

    Love this post.

Now play nice and for every comment you leave, I'll buy you a pony.
