The Monster for President

Want to know how apathetic I am about the candidates?

I took my five year old to the polls with me and whispered the candidates names to him. He chose. He got all fidgety whilst I decided for or against on the numerous Acts. He submitted the ballot. He charmed the election ladies into suckers and stickers that showed that his vote counted. He chatted with his teacher whom he saw at the polls. He gave me a high five as we left, glad to be a part of the millions making history today.

My grandmother, a staunch Democrat suggested that I tell him that Barack Obama was a superhero in hopes that it might persuade him to vote blue.

I'm not telling who he voted for, but when I wake him up in the morning and tell him the election results he'll either jump with joy (cause he won) or stick out that bottom lip and declare today a bad day.

If only it was that easy. I hate to tell him it could be a bad four years instead of just a bad day.

  4. Huckdoll- Thanks. I was really that undecided that I let the kid vote. Sad. If it was up to me I would have written in Bill Clinton. I kind of have a crush on him.

Suz- Me too! I had my camera but the old ladies were glaring and I was worried enough when I let him push the buttons.
